In order to provide files to Kaseware, either for a one-time migration or on an ongoing basis, the steps below highlight the process to set up access to the SFTP server and configure the file ingestion.

SFTP Setup - Kaseware Side

Any administrator of the Kaseware system can manage the initial SFTP setup on the Kaseware side.

1 - Select the Admin menu option on the left hand menu

2 - On the “Tenant Configuration” tab, select the “SFTP Setup” button

3 - The SFTP Setup menu will display the details needed to use the SFTP server.  The admin will need to generate the Password.  This will only be displayed once, so ensure it is only generated once you are ready to set up your SFTP client.

NOTE:

Hostname has changed with the new Kubernetes configurations.  The hostname should say:

FTP - Client Side

Using any standard FTP client (one we have frequently see clients use is Filezilla), login using the Username, Hostname, Port and Password identified in the SFTP Setup screen.  Once logged in, start uploading files to the server.

Automation

  • Put all the files in the folder

  • File called done.txt where the header is the profile ID (provided by Kaseware)

  • Put the folder into the SFTP server.

  • Kaseware will ingest the files, apply the profile used previously, and then delete the files once finished.
