Summary
Chrome will not save a user’s decision for whether or not to allow location permission, and Kaseware will continuously ask for permission to access the user’s location.
Issue Description
There are three potential causes for this, either a customer-side browser setting, a customer IT browser setting, or a secret unknown third issue. The first two can be diagnosed by navigating to the site information popup, as shown here:
Possible Solutions
If Location is set to “Ask every time”, this can be changed to “Allow” or “Deny every time”, and the issue should disappear. Sometimes, “Allow” does not work and the latter must be chosen instead.
If the Location permission is “Blocked by your administrator”, please contact your IT department in order to get Kaseware on their allowlist.
When neither of the above works, try clicking “Ok” for the first permission prompt and then close out the next prompt through the “X” button.
